Gritz is the definition of all things dope, futuristic and southern. The group consists of Miles Franco and Reggie Paxton who began collaborating in 2009 in hopes of creating a sound like no other, transcending genre and the status quo. Since, Gritz have found their creative groove creating a variety of music, some of which appears on their self-entitled LP. The soundscape that Gritz creates is rough, smooth, and dangerous all at the same time. Each selection displays their creative prowess, and ability to make songs that entertain and stimulate the listener. The tracks provided by Miles Franco bring a dynamic element of musicality to the mix, while both Paxton and Franco serve as vocalists using MCing and singing however they choose. Gritz has been fortunate to bring their vision to the live format by performing at some of the premier local live music venues in their hometown of Columbia , SC. Performing with a live band that consists of the accomplished guitarist Rod Franco and the certified drummer Autry Muller, Gritz has managed to make their name known by giving electrifying performances of their songs. Expect big things from Gritz in the future as they continue to create and excel in their craft.
